Modern Slavery

At Sora, we are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and any form of exploitation have no place within our business or supply chain. We believe in ethical sourcing, fair employment practices, and human rights protections, both within our own operations and throughout our supplier relationships.

We recognise our responsibility under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to take proactive steps in identifying, preventing, and addressing risks related to modern slavery.

Our Commitment

  • Zero Tolerance: We operate a zero tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour, and human trafficking.
  • Ethical Employment: All employees, whether permanent, temporary, part-time, or contract, are employed voluntarily and are treated fairly in accordance with employment laws.
  • Supplier Standards: We expect all our suppliers, manufacturers, and business partners to adhere to the same high ethical standards, including compliance with all relevant laws regarding modern slavery and human rights.

Due Diligence Processes

To ensure no modern slavery exists within our supply chains, we undertake the following measures:

  • Supplier Vetting: All suppliers and manufacturers are vetted for compliance with labour laws, ethical employment practices, and human rights standards prior to engagement.
  • Contracts & Agreements: Our contracts include clauses requiring suppliers to comply with anti-slavery legislation and allow us to audit or terminate agreements if breaches occur.
  • Ongoing Monitoring: We carry out periodic reviews of our supply chains and work closely with our partners to address any concerns or risks identified.

Training & Awareness

We provide appropriate training to our employees, especially those involved in procurement and recruitment, to raise awareness about modern slavery, human trafficking, and how to identify and report potential risks.

Reporting Concerns

Employees, customers, suppliers, and partners are encouraged to report any concerns related to modern slavery or unethical practices without fear of retaliation. Reports can be made confidentially to our management team at: support@soraworkshop.co.uk

Review

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure its effectiveness and updated where necessary in line with any changes to legislation or our business practices.
